The Los Angeles Lakers are considering all of their options leading up to the trade deadline. That may seem like a given when you consider Los Angeles Lakers Jerseys China the situation that they’re in with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but not even the most essential role players on the team appear to be completely safe from being moved.

We already knew that the Lakers had made Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Montrezl Harrell available, but according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, starting point guard Dennis Schröder could be dealt as well:

Schröder’s availability is a new and somewhat surprising development. The Lakers acquired the 27-year-old, German-born point guard in a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder last offseason and since then, he’s been a steady presence for them in the starting lineup. Through 40 games this season, Schröder has averaged 15 points, 4.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds and a steal per game.

Schröder has also expressed a desire sign a long-term contract extraction with the Lakers on several occasions, but with the caveat that the terms of the deal had to be fair. Within that context, it’s possible that both sides haven’t been able to agree on a number, and that the Lakers are now working on finding a trade partner for him to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer.

Now I understand that’s no small assumption to make, especially given the limited information we have, but with rumors that it could take of north of $20 million for the Lakers to keep him in Los Angeles and the Lakers’ reported interest in Kyle Lowry, it’s not outrageous to guess that Schröder could be flipped.

The thing Lakers fans should be wary of is too many players going out, particularly at the guard spots. For example, if Schröder, Caldwell-Pope, Marc Gasol and a future first-round pick is enough to get you Kyle Lowry, then you can probably like with a guard rotation of Lowry, Caruso and Talen Horton-Tucker in the postseason. However, if Lowry takes all three of Schröder, Caldwell-Pope and Horton-Tucker, the Lakers run the risk of not being able to fill those holes in the buyout market.

One thing’s clear however: the Lakers haven’t been sitting on their hands like everyone thought they’d be after the offseason they had. The next 24 hours could get really interesting. The deadline for deals is Thursday at noon.

When the Los Angeles Lakers signed veteran guard Wes Matthews, there were many happy people that felt good about having the journeyman on the team. After all, he was a known player for his defensive Custom Los Angeles Lakers Jerseys skills, three-point shooting, and a pretty good scorer.

Then there were those that were wondering, ” Wes Matthews who?” To be fair and honest, I have to now agree with the second group because it seems to me that Matthews has been invisible thus far.

He is averaging career lows in points per game at 4.2. His field goal percentage is at 34%. From three-point, he is shooting 33.6% which is the second-lowest of his career. So, all the numbers are pointed negatively and things just don’t seem to be going well for him in Los Angeles.

To top it all off, he has failed to score a single point in 10 of the games he played in this season.

The Los Angeles Lakers must be asking ‘where is Wesley Matthews?’
To be quite honest, Matthews has failed to be effective on defense. There are times when he looks either a bit slow or just plain out of place. Either way, Matthews has not been doing what the Lakers had brought him in to do.

The question is, what can be done with him at this point? Can the Lakers actually trade him away and get value for him? I doubt they can do it unless it is done in a package deal with another player.

Matthews is averaging 20 minutes a game. What other choice do the Lakers have at this point now with both Anthony Davis and LeBron James out with injuries, but to play whom they have on their roster and hopefully get some positive play from them? Eventually, this is going to have to change especially if LeBron’s recovery time is lengthy.

Unless Matthews can turn things around, I see no reason why the Lakers wouldn’t part ways with him. The question now is just how do they intend to do that at this point in the season? One thing is for sure, he’s not contributing.

Kyle Kuzma of the Los Angeles Lakers gave the TV announcers, and the entire Golden State Warriors bench, something they may have never seen before: an airballed technical foul free-throw attempt.

During second quarter of the Lakers’ win over the Warriors on Monday night, Kuzma attempted a free throw on a technical foul that didn’t just miss, it really, really missed. It missed the rim, it missed the backboard, it missed everything. The commentators calling the game were pretty sure they’d never seen anyone airball a free throw like that before — ever — but the reaction from the Warriors bench was even better. They totally lost their minds. Draymond Green ended up full-out cackling on the sideline.

It doesn’t look like anyone on the Warriors had ever seen an airballed technical foul free-throw before, either. In case you haven’t, here are a few more angles.

One of the studio analysts didn’t think the Warriors bench was right to react that way to the free throw, saying, “Look at the score.” While the Warriors did end up losing 128-97, they were only down by 10 when Kuzma made that hilariously Los Angeles Lakers Jerseys China awful free-throw attempt. But honestly, it shouldn’t matter if they were leading or losing by 10 or losing by 30. It’s their right as human beings to have an exaggerated, outsized reaction when they see something silly, and it will continue to be their right until the NBA makes it illegal for losing teams to have fun.

Kuzma blamed an earthquake
Kuzma’s free-throw airball was pretty memorable, so he was asked about it during his postgame media session. Kuzma must have been thinking about how to explain that, and he had a doozy of an answer.

Kyle Kuzma on air-balling the technical foul FT: “San Francisco had a 3.5 magnitude earthquake. Shit started rumbling. I don’t know. I got scared, and it went far off to the left.”

— Jovan Buha (@jovanbuha) March 16, 2021

That’s right: Kuzma blamed an earthquake for his worst-ever free-throw attempt. With the game being played in San Francisco, that’s not a bad excuse. If it was perhaps the early 1800s, before we had the technology to measure earthquakes, it was possible he could have gotten away with it.

Unfortunately for Kuzma, it’s 2021 and we can find out if there’s been an earthquake by checking a website or Twitter. According to the SF QuakeBot Twitter feed, there haven’t been any earthquakes that powerful in the San Francisco area in the past several days. Kuzma didn’t offer an alternate explanation, but if he wants to blame something ridiculous that can’t possibly be checked, he could just say that tiny, microscopic elves climbed into his shoes and put him off balance.
